USS Stark (FFG-31)

The USS Stark was the first ship I served on. I was onboard for just over two years and worked with some of the best men in the world. Not only were they great shipmates, they were great friends. We worked together, lived together and even some died together. The ship was hit by 2 Exocet missiles while in the Persian Gulf on May 17, 1987 and it killed 37 men. The ship was decommissioned on May 7, 1999.

This is what she looked like when I first went aboard. This is what she looked like shortly before I left.
